20 years of the Bible Films Blog

When people ask about New Year's resolutions that have stuck, I always think of 2006*. That was the year I decided to start a blog solely focused on adaptations of biblical stories. Blog were much more popular then than they are now and I was increasingly feeling my posts were boring other users at a discussion forum I frequented, so decided to create my own space.

20 years on my blog is still going strong(ish). Over the years I've focused more on writing longer more detailed posts than on trying to cover everything briefly, and my work here has spun off into other projects such as my book. Nevertheless I still try to publish here at least once a month and, despite the decline of blogs, the advent of AI and the huge interest in The Chosen , I'm still here and I generally manage it.

Thanks to everyone who over the last two decades has read, clicked, commented, emailed me or offered suggestions. I'm really grateful for your support. I occasionally hear of people using stuff here to help them in their work and it always makes me happy. So thank you.

Lastly, since my day job is designed data visualizations, I thought I'd make a dashboard to showcase some of the statistics and the highlights of the last twenty years.

    Thank you all, Matt.

*There are some posts here with earlier dates on them, but these were, in fact, created after the given date and backdated as they are material I wrote before the blog that I was re-purposing.
