St.Paul's 2000th Birthday

The image above is an extended stamp type thing from Malta (which was actually what drew my attention to it - it's obvisouly a bigger deal over there than it is here) and there's a little more on this here
Looking at film interpretations of the stories in the Bible - past, present and future, as well as preparation for a future work on Straub/Huillet's Moses und Aron and a few bits and pieces on biblical studies.
or browse a list of titles/characters

Wow was surprised when I opened your blog and found a stamp of my country Malta! Yes it is a big event here cause according to the bible and our beliefs it was St Paul who brought the message of Christ to our islands.
God Bless

Thanks JoAnne. I had thought that that was probably the connection. Even so I'm suprised at just how differently our countries have reacted to this.

Is there any place that the "Life of Paul" (1949) film can be purchased?

Not that I know of I'm afraid, but it might be worth checking eBay, iOffer and so forth.
